This is an older post from my Facebook page that showed up in my memories today, but I wanted to share it again.

There have been times when I’ve tried to take a nature picture, and been annoyed because I couldn’t get “only nature” in the shot. A shot with no fences, no power lines, trying to capture only what God put there, and not man. But as I was sitting here drinking my coffee this morning, I looked at what was in front of me. The beauty of the land God has blessed us with, the glow of the sun through the trees, the soft blue of the morning sky. But as I looked closer…..the boot in the bottom right? That belongs to a man who loves me and takes care of me and our family and does everything he can to lead his family to follow God. That concrete pad down there? It’s where my kids play basketball, ride their bikes, draw with sidewalk chalk. And you know what? God put all of that there, too, when He gave us the ability and the opportunity to work and to do what it took to have these things. Sometimes we are so focused on looking for what we want to see that we miss what is sitting right in front of us. In Genesis 22:14, “Abraham named the place Yahweh-Yireh (which means “the Lord will provide”). To this day, people still use that name as a proverb: “On the mountain of the Lord it will be provided.”” God has provided for me, and in abundance on this mountain I call home. Baruch HaShem, Blessed be the name of the Lord, the God who provides.
I am still grateful everyday for all that God has provided us. There have been times where we struggled financially, but we never lacked for what we needed to be able to take care of our family, and have always had love in abundance. 💜
