Where I’m Rooted

I want my roots to be in Jesus. To be full of Him and to follow His footsteps. To follow His path and grow in Him and to be more like Him. I want my roots to be so deep in Him, so tangled in Him, that the fruit I bear can’t help but show Him in me.

I want God’s light to shine through me.
I want to be so full of Him that when people think of me, they think of Him.
I want to be an encouragement to others.
I want people to come to know God through me.
I want to follow God’s will, no matter where that may take me in life, even and especially when it’s hard.

“Have Thine own way, Lord, Have Thine own way,
Thou art the Potter, I am the clay.
Mold me and make me after Thy will,
While I am waiting, yielded and still.”¹

God, please use me, mold me, guide me.
Show me Your will for my life.

“Lead me, guide me, along life’s way
For if you lead me, I will not stray.
Lord, let me walk with Thee,
Lead me, O Lord, lead me.”²

Help me to be an encouragement to others, and let them see You in me.
Let me show others God-the Father, Jesus-the Savior, and the Spirit-the Comforter.
I want to be a good example.
I want to be a shining light.
I want to grow in God.
