Song Share Saturday #22

Last night, we were out in the barn sitting by the fire with our friends Jason and Jenny. I had already been trying to decide what songs to do for today’s song share, so when the subject turned to music (as it almost always does), I asked Jason if he wanted to pick today’s songs. So, after careful consideration, these are the two he came up with.

I can’t think about “What a Lovely Name” without thinking of Brother Elbert Lewis and how he loved to lead this one. And it surely is a good one. Jason was very specific in which version he wanted me to share, with Ms. Vestal Goodman.

We recently started singing “Hymn of Heaven” at our congregation. I know Phil Wickham did it, but honestly I have only ever heard UVW’s a cappella version, and it is beautiful. So I was glad when Jason said I could use theirs today.
