Priceless

The ladies in our church got together this past weekend for a ladies’ retreat. I had the privilege of being able to come up with the material. Over the next several posts, I want to share the lessons that were presented there.

Priceless Intro

We have watched a lot of VeggieTales in our house. Bob and Larry and the gang have taught my kiddos many lessons through their versions of Bible stories, classic tales, and original anecdotes. One thing they are always reminding us is that, “God made you special, and He loves you very much!” As simple and clichéd as that sounds, it’s the truth. We are special to God. Priceless, as a matter of fact. So precious to Him that we are redeemed by the blood of His Son. We are told in the Bible that we are made in His image, that we are His workmanship, formed by His hand. And, as the old saying goes, “God don’t make no junk!” As the priceless children of God, we should know our self worth and carry ourselves with dignity. We should know that even if we feel broken, God still loves us and can still use us. We should know that we deserve authentic friendships, and how to be a true friend. And we should know that God has created us to be our own person, given each of us gifts and talents, and wants us to use them. He wants to use us to show others that to Him, they, too, are priceless.

Isaiah 43:4
