Yesterday’s communion thought was:
1 Corinthians 11:26 – “For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death [and Resurrection] until He comes.”
How does communion help you think about the Creation and Kingdom to come?
When God created the earth, He took a void of darkness and chaos and turned it into something new and fresh, beautiful and useful.
When we decide to give ourselves to Christ, He takes the darkness and chaos inside us and turns us into a new, fresh version of the beautiful and useful souls He created us to be.
Communion helps us remember what it took for that to be possible. The suffering and death and subsequent defeat of death by Jesus. Coming together reminds us that Jesus didn’t come to make just us new, but everyone. All souls are beautiful and useful to Christ.
And all of those souls are part of His kingdom. We are the ambassadors to His kingdom on earth right now, proclaiming His love, His sacrifice, His grace and mercy, His power to all around us.
When we come to His table, we share with and draw strength from our fellow laborers in His kingdom. We remind each other what it means to be a part of that kingdom, both the work and the reward.

We were out on the lake Saturday and I didn’t post my usual song share. I have a one that has been stuck in my head the past week so I thought I would go ahead and share it and one more today.
